Well, here we are, three weeks after our home invasion and still kicking. Still grateful to be alive and unharmed. Although psycologically I feel OK, I sadly no longer see my home as my little safe sanctury in the chaos that surrounds us.
Nothing however has stopped the scrapping! I'm loving the Craft Ed products. As you know, I'm also a For Ever Memories (remember Creative Memories?) consultant and they have just launched a 12 x 12 circle cutter to compliment their existing cutting system. How fab is that! There is also a niftly 12 x 12 mat that goes with it.
I was going to take some pics to post onto my blog but sadly I'm no longer the proud owner of my fabulous Canon E450 camera. This now belongs to someone who probably paid tuppence for it. Keep an eye out - as soon as I have a new camera I'll pop a few pics on.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that we're into August already.... another year where I'm not going to accomplish nearly HALF of what I set out to do....

Craft Ed
I've just added the title of "Craft Ed Consultant" to my mantle. For those unfamiliar with this fast growing company, they sell:
- Stunning Paper Packs in various themes - pets, school, alphabet, travel etc. Papers work out at R1.55 a sheet! (I've had a bit of a skok at the price that some papers are coming in at lately so this is a welcome change). There are usually 3 coordinating papers and 3 of each so plenty to complete a double page spread with paper to spare.
- The amazing DCWV cardstock stacks in brights, neutrals, pastels and best of all: metallic and glitter. Most papers have a white inner core making them fabulous for sanding or distressing. They come in 12 x 12, 6 x 6 and the very handy 4.5 x 6.5.
- Then some really delightful scrapbook "kit in a stack" which is a selection of coordinating papers, stickers, large brads, saying stickers, quote stacks etc in various themes - the Blossoms & Butterflies is to die for!!
- The "just gotta have" Big Bite Crop-A-Dile
- Great tools like corner rounders, guillotines, metal rulers etc
- Herma adhesives
- The most glorious albums - I've been hunting around for a supplier of really great albums at a good price and I've now found it. They are a steal at R265.00 for an album and R70.00 for 25 refil sleeves.
- Powder Puff Ink Sets in really great colours.
- Cuttlebug Kids with a large selection of dies at an excellent price.
As the company grows, so does the range.
Do pop in and have a look-see. I dont think the catalogue does full justice to the product so will be ordering in loads of samples. And I think you'd be pleasantly suprised at the prices.

Shock 'n Horror!
I just cannot believe I've not done a post since 25th March! Where does the time go? Anyway, I'm trying to commit to taking this a bit more seriously.....
Here's a tip for nothing: (nothing new, but it's well worth the reminder) At the end of each workshop I've been encouraging the happy scrappers to there and then take their scraps and turn them into gift tags, noteletts, mini cards or larger cards if you've got lots of paper left over. It just makes so much sence as you're sitting there with all this lovely co-ordinated paper which you're going to go home and toss into the "scraps" box, never to see the light of day again. You'll be stunned and amazed at how many little cards and tags you accumulate over a very short space of time. And if like me you begrudge paying the price for cards in the shops these days, this is the answer.
Another reason for my lacklustre performance on the blog is that I've been exploring hybrid scrapbooking which intrigues me muchly. Hoping to master this some time soon (yeah, right) and share it all with you.

Tersia's Take....
This is Tersia's take on one of my workshops where she incorporated some paper piecing. I must say I've always felt a bit iffy about paper piecing but I do think used stylishly it can add a lovely dimension to the page. I really loved her little pirate!
I'm now madly crazily over the top in love with mosaic! It's all I want to do all day! But scrapping still tugs.....

Dear oh dear!!
What a nail biting, migraine inducing, sphincter pinching, jaw clenching, vomit inducing, tear flowing week!! My Motherboard crashed and I was kept in suspence for 8 days as to whether I'd lost my entire (unbacked!!) life. Seems as though some of the important stuff has been saved so even though I've lost loads, I've also got lots of saved stuff to be grateful for. Bitter lesson learned here - backup! backup! backup! Which is what I'll be doing most of next week when my computer is returned........
As you can imagine, scrapping is not uppermost in my mind. Hope to be back in the swing of it all in the next week or two.
